Professional Experience:
I have more than 24 years of experience in public administration and development management. I have held many leadership roles; both within the public and development sector in Pakistan. Throughout my career, I have successfully overseen multifaceted portfolios and assignments in the areas of public financial management, development planning, local governance, programme design and management. In addition, I have remained involved in the design and implementation of donor-funded projects in Pakistan. I have worked on FCDO and World Bank funded projects and programmes in addition to multiple local governments.
Currently, I hold the position of Team Leader, Punjab of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO, UK funded Sub-National Governance-II (SNG-II) Programme. As Team Leader, I am responsible for providing overall leadership to the Programme, effective stakeholders’ management and ensuring high-quality deliverables and technical assistance to the government. SNG-II is a center-of-the-government programme focused on enhancing service delivery to over 110 million residents by bringing in transformational reforms in the areas of goernacne, PFM, planning, social protection and local governance. The Programme collaborates closely with key provincial government departments, the Ministry of Finance, and various multilateral and bilateral donor agencies, including the World Bank and the German Technical Cooperation.
