My profession began as an intern at NMB Bank in 2001, where I covered all banking departments such as retail banking, Treasury , Marketing and business development ,corporate banking, corporate finance & operations. Internship was part of fulfilling the requirements for attaining a banking and Finance degree at The National University of Science and Technology. Having completed my degree , my first job was with an Asset management Company in 2003 where i was in charge of the Unit Trusts Department and Treasury. After 3 years i left the organisation to join a Discount House as a business developmemt and sales dealer. In 2008 I joined Barclays Bank as a Treasury Sales dealer responsible for on-boarding new business to increase deposits for the bank as well as managing an existing portfolio through a robust customer relationship management system. In 2010 I swithched roles to move onto the Foreign Exchange & liquidity management desk as a foreign exchange dealer mainly responsible for trading.In 2012 , still in Barclays i moved to the Corporate Banking Department as Corporate Relationship Manager looking after development Organisations and schools. In 2017 I moved to look after the SMEs, a position I held until I was head-hunted by The Old Mutual Group banking arm, CABS, to start up the NGOs department, a position that I currently hold and receiving numerous rewards and recognition for excellent performance evidenced by the growth of the portfolio

I did my secondary education in 1993-1996 at St Augustines High School in Mutare, Zimbabwe. I passed all 10 subjects and proceeded to High School in 1997-1998 at Nagle House in Harare, Zimbabwe and passed all 3 subjects. I attended Universityin 1999-2003 at The National University of Science (NUST) and Technology in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and majored in Banking and Finance, degreee class 2:1. I went on to do Masters at the same University, Msc in Finance and Investments and attained class 2:1. In 2023 I got a part-scholarship to study for a Certificate of Trade Finance in Africa, a course offered by AFREXIMBANK and Bank of America in Egypt. As part of fulfilling the degree requirements at NUST, a student is required to do a 1-year Industrial attachment. I did my internship with a Financial Institution, The National Merchant bank ( NMB) and covered all departmets including Treasury Front and back office, Corporate Banking , Operations, Retail and SME Banking. Professional courses done include both in-house trainings covering aspects such as customer service, risk management , credit Analysis, Financial statement analysis and new business development.

Affiliations and Achievements: |
1.At Barclays Bank I was the pioneer Corporate Relationship Manager for the schools portfolio, a portfolio that grew to be a major revenue contributor for the bank and a source of cheap deposits.
2.My NGOs and schools portfolio was the first to have a Facility under the Barclays/USAID Guarantee for financing women-led businesses.
3. I was nominated and recognised by The Old Mutual group and awarded an all-expenses holiday trip to Germany for having excelled beyond expectations in new business development and sales in 2022.
