Professional Experience:

- Built and maintained effective close working relationship with government counterparts and non-Governmental organizations, community leaders and schools’ teachers through active sharing of information and knowledge to facilitate program implementation and build the capacity of stakeholders to achieve and sustain results on education programmes.
- Contributed to the preparation and updated of the situation analysis for the development, design, and management of 3 education projects and researched and reported on development trends (economic, social, health etc.) and data for use in programme development, management, monitoring, evaluation, and delivery of results.
- Provided technical and administrative support throughout all stages of programming processes by executing and administering a variety of technical programme transactions, prepared materials, and documentations, and complying with organizational processes and management systems, to support programme planning, results-based planning (RBM) and monitoring and evaluation of results.
- Worked closely and collaboratively with 15 internal colleagues and 6 partners to collect, analyze, and share information on implementation issues.

- Provided technical and operational support to state Ministry of General Education, 6 Non-Governmental Organizations partners, UN system partners and other country office partners/donors on the application and understanding of UNICEF policies, strategies, processes, and best practices on education related issues to support programme implementation, operations, and delivery of results.
- Participated in more than 10 inter-agency meetings and events on programming to collaborate with 4 inter-agency partners on preparation of education programmes and to integrate and harmonize UNICEF’s position and strategies with other partners.
- Contributed to identifying, capturing, synthesizing, and sharing lessons learned for knowledge development and capacity development of 4 stakeholders.
- Applied innovative approaches and promoted good practice to support the implementation and delivery of concrete and sustainable programme results.
- Participated as a resource person in 5 capacity building initiatives to enhance the competencies of implementing partner and government counterparts.
- Supervised both program and operation 15 staff by ensuring that each of them is carrying out their regular duties and responsibility as stated in their job description. I also reviewed, verified, and compiled activity reports submitted by each program officer.
- Provided leadership to Education Sub- cluster at state level where I chaired more than 20 cluster meetings, coordinated Education activities such as assessment with the national cluster, Ministry of education and 6 Education partners at the state level.
- Managed more than USD 900,000 for implementation of different Education projects supported by different donors such as European Union, (EU), United State of America International Development (USAID) KFW, and Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
- Stepped in as Officer in Charge (OIC) for the chief of field office for more than 6 time.


Education:

I hold master’s degree in Education with Education in Emergencies as an area of specialization from University of Nairobi. I also obtained Bachelor of Science with Education from Bugema University in Kampala Uganda majoring in Economics and mathematics as a minor. I too attended short training in Monitoring and Evaluation from African Vantage School of leadership in Nairobi Kenya.
