Professional Experience:
Worked in Govt. domain for the last 28 years, Interacted with many government departments and developed & implemented various e-governance tools to handle development initiatives in States and Districts. I have gained, a rich experience on most of the government departments and their working mechanism. This will facilitate me to realize an effective coordination, building necessary KPIs in monitoring various metrices of Development and build systems that will leverage the complimentary benefits among the Development Goals on their realization.
The Union Planning Commission of India, involved me in various working Groups and Task Forces on Agro-Climatic Regional Planning with a focus on District level planning. Identification of 100 most Backward and Poorest Districts in the Country, Identify Districts for Programmes of Wage and Self Employment Generation using Ranking of Districts based on relevant KPIs and to provide support to Finance Commission UT.
Involved with the Union Planning Commission, Govt. of India, in the work relating to Formulation of Integrated Energy Policy of the Government of India. In this task, I have made an analysis and projections of various energy items(Fuel wood, Electricity, LPG, etc,) for Household consumption for different Plan Periods and also to assess the change in demand for household energy consumption due to provision of electricity connection to all the households in India. In addition, I have also made an estimation of energy consumption exclusively for the Irrigation sector in various states and districts in India, to provide the base for electricity tariff regulation.
Have gained adequate experiences in formulation, implementation and monitoring & evaluation of Large Scale Projects on countrywide scale and even completed projects before time. For instance, as the Project Director, I have processed, analysed and prepared the results for the Agricultural Censuses( 1995-96, 2000-01 & 2005-06) and Input Survey ( 1996-97, 2001-02 & 2006-07) at the stratum-Taluk level onwards for the entire country.
The current involvement with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) initiative on Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) Project with the support from the World Bank, I have got an opportunity to lead the technical team to design, develop and implement the iRAD application across the country in India and successfully completed the task assigned. The live accident entries are being collated in all the States/UTs with the involvement of Police, Transport and Road owning agencies, and Health. In view of its success, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has directed the govt. to initiate a suitable platform to settle the claims and compensation for the victims in time. Hence, the eDAR which is an extension of iRAD having additional information that pertains to other investigative parameters from Police, Claims details from the Victims, derivation/calculation of Compensation by the Insurance Companies and Award summary of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunals (MACTs), interventions of State Legal Services Authorities, Metropolitan Courts and Child Welfare Committees and the related work flow processes involved among these stakeholders in the application is developed and the implementation across the country is in progress.
