Organizational Summary:
Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.

Small teams meet twice weekly for eight-week seasons, learning life skills through interactive lessons and running games led by certified volunteer coaches. Program sites include schools, parks and community centers. The season concludes with an untimed, celebratory 5K that gives participants a tangible sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals.

This coming school year, Girls on the Run Greater Oregon (GOTRGO) will engage more than 400 volunteers and serve 1,300 girls in grades 3–8 across 12 counties in Oregon and Southwest Washington. We seek to grow our impact while maintaining our commitment to program quality, accessibility and inclusion; this position plays a key role in supporting that expansion.

Girls on the Run believes all girls and communities should have access to our programs. We strive to eliminate barriers to participation, create programming that engages all communities, be intentional about staff and volunteer diversity, and promote a culture of inclusion across the organization.

Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator helps make every Girls on the Run season a success by supporting the site liaisons, coaches, and volunteers who bring our program to life in schools and communities across Greater Oregon. Working under the direct leadership of the Program Outreach Manager and alongside every member of our six-person team, the coordinator serves as a steady, responsive resource from onboarding through the final week of the season. This position is a great fit for someone who is organized, relationship-minded, and committed to making our programs welcoming and accessible to every girl.
