The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is looking for a Finance Manager to join its Syria mission, based in Damascus. The role holder will be responsible for the financial set up according to NRC standards and will support programme and project implementation.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Financial Handbook, NRC policies, and donor and auditor requirements.
- Implement financial systems, routines and procedures.
- Control budgets and monitor cashflow.
- Provide line management of staff.
- Train staff with financial responsibilities.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis.
- Implement the anti-corruption policy.

What you will bring:
- Senior financial management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
- Expertise in cash-based interventions and financial service provider assessments.
- A track record of developing financial systems and structures, especially during change management processes.
- Proficiency in computer software and modern accounting systems.
- Exposure to start-up, change management, exit or emergency response situations.
- Knowledge of the Syria context and exposure to complex, volatile environments.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
