WaterAid is a global federation working towards a world where everyone, everywhere has clean water, sanitation and hygiene by 2030. The Philanthropy & Trusts team grows crucial individual philanthropic relationships and raises significant funding for WaterAid's work, guided by an ambitious strategy and growth plan.

As Philanthropy Manager you will bring a proven track record of business development and of raising income from new partnerships, and you will provide excellent stewardship of the partnerships you secure.

Key responsibilities:
- Build a sustainable pipeline of new business prospects with the potential to give at £100k+ per annum.
- Develop high quality funding propositions and reports in line with donor requirements.
- Support the Philanthropy & Events Manager with the delivery of first class stewardship and cultivation events.

Requirements:
- Proven ability to raise income from new business, manage a new philanthropy portfolio and achieve targets as part of a strategic plan.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with individuals, identifying opportunities for growth and innovative engagement.
- Experience of compelling proposal and report writing for a philanthropic audience.

Preferred (not essential):
- Experience in peer to peer fundraising.
- Experience in developing and executing a new business prospecting strategy.

Terms: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week). Salary £41,325 per year. Hybrid working, with a minimum of 40% of working time face to face, based at WaterAid's Canary Wharf office in London. Benefits include 36 days' holiday (including 8 bank holidays), employer pension contribution up to 10%, season ticket loan, enhanced parental leave, sabbaticals and two paid volunteer days each year. A basic DBS check and right-to-work verification are required.
