The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a global humanitarian organisation helping people forced to flee. The Logistics Technical Assistant (Asistente Técnico de Logística) in Quibdó, Colombia is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of logistics activities for project needs, covering both goods and services. The role contributes to meeting operational, regulatory and financial standards, ensuring efficient, transparent logistics processes aligned with institutional policies and donor requirements.

General responsibilities: implement NRC policies, SOPs, manuals and donor requirements in daily logistics work; support the logistics portfolio according to the Action Plan; provide logistics administration and basic support across the organisation; prepare status reports for management; ensure supporting documents are correctly submitted to the finance unit; keep documentary records of logistics management.

Procurement: support market analyses; participate in project procurement planning (PPP); run purchasing processes according to NRC guidelines and SOPs; register process data in institutional tools; take part in supplier evaluation and keep the supplier database updated; ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements; follow up and control supplier contracts.

Warehouse/Assets: ensure correct storage and rotation of stock; register and update NRC assets in AR and Agresso; control warehouse access; supervise loading and unloading; report losses or discrepancies; keep accurate stock records; physically count inventory at least twice a year; prepare documents for contract payments.

Fleet management: ensure vehicles are used and maintained according to the Logistics Manual and road safety plan; plan, schedule and monitor transport of staff and material; manage maintenance requests and incident reporting; maintain vehicle records, logbooks and fuel/usage reports; support driver training and fleet reporting.

Qualifications: technical or technologist degree, or final-year student, in Business Administration, Logistics Administration, International Business or similar; minimum 2 years of support experience in humanitarian contexts and in a similar role; experience in complex and changing contexts; solid knowledge of supply chain management, warehouse and fixed-asset management, fleet management and national/international goods transport; basic English; MS Office and ERP software experience.
