SNV Proximate is SNV's newly established impact capital accelerator, developing commercially viable solutions that generate both business value and development impact through two streams: impact-driven finance (IDF) and inclusive commercial value chains (ICVC). The Associate is the delivery backbone of both streams, an early-career role for someone with 3–5 years of experience ready to take on more client-facing responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

Contribute to client engagements: research, analysis, data collection and drafting of reports, slide decks and working papers.
Conduct primary research (stakeholder interviews, field visits, surveys, focus groups) and synthesise secondary research (literature reviews, market assessments, policy analysis).
Build and maintain financial models, data trackers and analytical frameworks.
IDF stream: impact investment landscape analysis, blended finance modelling, due diligence research, impact indicator development (IRIS+, IMP), market sizing.
ICVC stream: value chain mapping, smallholder farmer interviews, market systems analysis, business case development, supplier development programme design, policy and regulatory analysis.
Support internal knowledge building, BD collateral and proposal development with research and analysis.

Requirements:

3–5 years of experience in a research, analytical or advisory role in consulting, development finance, agribusiness, international development or a related field.
Experience producing high-quality analytical outputs for client-facing or decision-making contexts.
Experience conducting primary research in emerging market or development contexts.
Some exposure to impact investing, blended finance, value chain development, agribusiness or market systems.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; R, Python or Stata an advantage.
Clear written English; French or Portuguese a strong advantage.

Location is flexible (remote) for candidates within time zones spanning Ghana to Singapore; international travel required. 2-year international contract; expected start November/December 2026.
