Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) is the country's first leadership institute focused on empowering youth from diverse backgrounds. Under Project JAAGORON, a civic engagement initiative led by BYLC in partnership with YPSA and Agrogoti Sangstha, BYLC is developing three online courses (Our Local Government, Civic Engagement for Youth, and Active Citizenship) of roughly 90–120 minutes each to extend civic-engagement learning to a wider youth audience. BYLC is seeking a qualified Video Editor to transform recorded course footage into polished, learner-friendly videos that meet project and BYLC standards.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and finalize all video lessons for the three courses (approx. 90–120 minutes each).
- Review and organize raw footage and course materials provided by BYLC before editing.
- Prepare 3D/background visuals and maintain visual consistency across the courses.
- Carry out color correction, sound balancing, noise reduction and other audio-visual adjustments.
- Add on-screen text, motion graphics, AI animations, transitions and illustrations in line with approved scripts/storyboards, appropriate to the Bangladeshi context.
- Use only royalty-free visual elements and credit sources properly.
- Collaborate with BYLC's course/project team and participate in storyboard review meetings with the BYLCx team.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions; deliver final videos in the agreed format along with all editable project/source files (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) in an organized folder structure.
Deliverables: fully edited video lessons for all three courses; final video files in agreed specifications; all editable source files; updated versions incorporating feedback.
Required qualifications: demonstrated experience in professional video editing, preferably for online courses, educational content or training materials; demonstrated expertise in motion graphics, AI animations, text animation, color correction, audio correction, chroma keying and 3D environment modeling.
Engagement: part-time project engagement, approximately 2 months of effort; remuneration negotiable; remote.
