ClientEarth is a non-profit that uses the power of the law to bring about systemic change in environmental and climate rule of law. This Programme Manager role is based in ClientEarth's China Office in Beijing (hybrid) on a 2-year fixed-term, full-time contract. The post-holder works closely with the Senior Law and Policy Advisor to manage and expand a multi-stakeholder cooperation portfolio, developing strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders and managing sub-grants to NGOs. The objective is to foster an enabling ecosystem and mobilise collective action to drive the green transition, both domestically and internationally.

Main duties:
- Assist the strategic development of environmental and climate projects that provide on-granting and capacity building to NGOs, and build an enabling ecosystem for multi-stakeholder collaboration, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and partner priorities.
- Assist with fundraising initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities and inputting into grant proposals and reports.
- Draft, review, negotiate and manage contracts, MOUs and partnership agreements with donors and implementing partners, primarily government-affiliated think tanks, universities, NGOs and other research or public institutions.

Requirements:
- Fluent (CEFR C2) in Mandarin and in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science or a closely related field.
- Extensive project management experience within the non-profit sector, international development or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and managing mid-to-large scale grants, including hands-on experience administering the full grant cycle with local partners: stakeholder mapping, developing project theory of change and implementation, and budget and contract management.

Compensation: CN¥396,309 per year. Applicants must have the pre-existing legal right to work in China.
