MAG is seeking an exceptional Financial Controller to join its Leadership Team and ensure strong financial stewardship across its global operations.
About the role: The Financial Controller provides strategic and operational financial leadership across MAG's global activities. Working closely with the Executive Director of Finance & Digital Transformation, the post-holder leads the corporate finance function, leads the preparation of statutory reporting within a strong compliance framework, and ensures delivery of high-quality financial information to support decision-making, including foreign exchange and treasury management. Hybrid, Manchester, UK, with occasional international travel. Reports to the Executive Director, Finance & Digital Transformation; direct report: Head of Corporate Finance. Salary: £68,544 - £77,556.
Essential experience: senior-level financial leadership and operational finance management; working in highly regulated environments with strong compliance requirements; treasury management, financial risk management and foreign exchange oversight; statutory reporting, financial consolidation and audit management; implementing and monitoring robust financial controls; leading organisational change and finance systems transformation; managing financial operations across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
Essential skills and knowledge: fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent); outstanding leadership and people management skills; excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement abilities; strong analytical and decision-making capability; knowledge of international taxation and financial compliance requirements; understanding of insurance and risk management processes.
