The Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PFSCM) strengthens and manages secure, reliable, cost-effective and sustainable global supply chains to improve health in low- and middle-income countries by increasing access to quality, affordable health products. The Logistics Team Lead provides day-to-day guidance and support to a team of Logistics Specialists managing shipment deliveries to specific countries. The role ensures import/export documentation requirements are met and that quality-assured, health-related commodities move smoothly through the shipping process. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Team Lead coordinates with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers to manage end-to-end delivery from goods readiness through proof of delivery and confirmation of receipt, and serves as the first point of escalation for transport and delivery issues.
Key responsibilities:
* End-to-end shipment coordination: ensure timely execution of international shipments including export, customs clearance and in-country delivery; monitor vendor performance and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) targets; reduce demurrage, detention and storage costs; handle shipment exceptions and incident management.
* Client satisfaction and relationship management: act as the primary escalation point for principal recipients, clients, 3PLs and vendors; manage 3PL performance through monthly reviews; ensure principal recipients can track orders.
* Country profile and ERP administration: ensure country profiles, waiver lead times, shipping instructions and ERP data are accurate; produce daily and weekly OTIF reports.
* SOPs and quality management: follow and develop SOPs, work instructions and shipping instructions; drive continuous improvement.
* Staff management: coach, mentor and evaluate Logistics Specialists; develop onboarding and refresher training.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain operations, freight, accounting, data management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 7+ years of progressive experience in complex supply chain and/or transport operations; commercial supply chain experience preferred.
* Strong analytical, organisational and Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Fluent English and French required.
* Willingness to travel; must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
Full-time position based in Woerden, Netherlands.
