The Technical Advisor will provide malaria technical advice, guidance and support on program design and implementation to Country Program teams. This work follows CRS program quality principles and standards, donor guidelines and industry best practices.

- Contribute to agency-wide malaria strategies, standards, tools and best practices that engage partners, donors and governments. Ensure a cross-sectoral approach integrating gender, protection mainstreaming and disaster risk reduction.
- Provide technical solutions to REACH Malaria teams, remotely and on-site, for strategic planning, program design and implementation standards, tools and M&E.
- Act as overall technical backstop for the project across several countries where CRS leads activities with PATH.
- Maintain current technical knowledge on malaria and manage the introduction and scale-up of best practices.
- Strengthen the capacity of staff and partners through learning and training strategies, workshops, mentoring and coaching.
- Contribute to knowledge management and learning by analyzing program data, evaluating activities and sharing lessons learned.
- Build relationships with donors, the prime contractor, national malaria programs, peer organizations and research institutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. A Master's in Public Health, Health Systems, Medical Sciences or a related area is an advantage.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant international experience in an advisory or management role, ideally with an international NGO, including at least three years in malaria programming.
- Experience providing technical assistance and developing successful donor funding proposals.
- Experience in M&E, mentoring, training and facilitation, and in building relationships with donors and national malaria programs.
- Strong analytical, communication and relationship-management skills.
- Required languages: English and French.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
