United Nations University (UNU) is a global think tank and postgraduate teaching organization within the UN System. UNU-Centre Finance, based at the Global Services Centre in Putrajaya, Malaysia, delivers comprehensive financial services across the University. Under guidance of the Chief of Finance, the intern supports financial and operational policy research/review, collection/validation/analysis of financial data, preparation of reports/presentations, coordination of meetings, maintenance of the Finance Intranet, and knowledge-sharing/capacity-building activities. Qualifications: university studies in Finance, Business Administration or related field; final-year undergraduate, enrolled graduate student, or within 2 years post-graduation from bachelor's/master's/PhD; strong attention to detail; MS Office (especially Excel); ERP systems/data visualization tools an advantage; excellent English communication (written and oral); working knowledge of another UN language an advantage. Duration: 6 months remote internship, expected start October 2026. Interns not otherwise funded receive a stipend to partially subsidize basic living costs (rate varies by duty station).
