Location: Kyiv (Hybrid/Remote), Ukraine
War Child is looking for a Project Officer to support delivery of its Ukraine projects, funded primarily by private donors and foundations, from partner agreement signature through project closure. The role coordinates day-to-day implementation of assigned projects with partners and internal teams, tracks activities and expenditure against approved plans and budgets, and leads timely narrative reporting, working with Finance and MEAL teams on financial and indicator reporting. Responsibilities include supporting project start-up (partner agreements, kick-off meetings, work plans, budget breakdowns), maintaining trackers and flagging delays or budget deviations, drafting narrative reports and donor updates, supporting partners with compliance and safeguarding requirements, organising activity logistics, maintaining project documentation, and supporting project closure including final reporting and reconciliation.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in social sciences, international relations, management, development studies, public administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; at least two years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, project support or grant administration, preferably in an NGO, humanitarian or development organisation; experience with the full project cycle including work planning, activity tracking, reporting and closure; experience drafting narrative reports in English and tracking budgets against work plans; fluency in Ukrainian and professional working proficiency in English. Local contract for 12 months with possibility of extension subject to funding; War Child does not offer relocation or visa sponsorship.
