Save the Children International seeks a SCI-Led Programme Funding Portfolio Development Specialist (MENAEE) to provide global, portfolio-level support for SCI-led programme funding, focusing on portfolio optimisation, market development, and strategic alignment across MENAEE SCI Country Offices. The role is accountable for improved portfolio performance through analysis, guidance and coordination across multiple countries and markets. Key accountabilities include supporting portfolio analysis and optimisation, identifying priority markets, donors and modalities; providing strategic guidance for complex multi-country funding proposals; shaping donor engagement approaches; monitoring global funding trends and translating them into actionable guidance; supporting Country Offices with donor stakeholder engagement plans; and promoting best practice in SCI-led programme funding. Location: any existing approved SCI office location in the MENAEE Region, hybrid/remote with flexible working, required time zone GMT -/+3.5, international travel up to 20%. Essential requirements include proven experience designing and implementing business development strategies in the humanitarian/development sector; substantial experience preparing competitive funding proposals for donors such as USAID, EU, SIDA, WFP, UNICEF and/or the World Bank; extensive experience in multi-cultural environments; strong strategic thinking, relationship management, communication, financial acumen and negotiation skills; a degree in international development, business administration, economics, marketing or related field; and fluency in English and Arabic, with French or Spanish desirable.
