The Head, Private Sector Partnerships and Innovation (PSI), leads efforts to mobilise private sector resources and engage multinational companies and innovators in support of Gavi's mission. The role develops and implements private sector partnerships and innovation initiatives, brokers collaborations with stakeholders, and leverages private sector expertise to address challenges across the immunisation landscape, including accelerating access to innovation through mechanisms such as INFUSE and the Scale Up Facility.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the Private Sector Partnerships and Innovation team and grow Gavi's portfolio of corporate, philanthropic, investor and innovation partnerships; develop strategies generating private sector financing, expertise, technology and assets; build senior stakeholder relationships across industries, foundations, investors and global corporations; secure and steward multi-year funding partnerships; represent Gavi at high-level external forums (WEF, UNGA, Skoll, SOCAP); lead innovation platforms including INFUSE; develop partnerships with AI and technology organisations.
Requirements: Typically 10-15+ years of experience in private sector fundraising and partnerships building, with demonstrated success securing major funding commitments and leading teams. University degree in public affairs, global health, business administration, social entrepreneurship, international development or related field required; Master's degree desirable. Fluent English required.
Contract: 5-year fixed-term contract, Career Step 5, based in Geneva.
