The Atlantic Council seeks an entrepreneurial, media-savvy Associate Director to drive a proactive Media Relations function. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the role elevates the Council's experts, research and events through strategic media outreach, rapid-response products (Experts React, Fast Thinking, Tip Sheets), reporter relationship-building, media-list development (Muck Rack), publication promotion, and media training of experts. Requires a bachelor's in journalism/communications/IR/policy and ~3-6 years in media relations/journalism/strategic comms, strong writing/editing and news judgment, and experience pitching reporters. Washington DC HQ, min 4 days/week in office. Benefits: medical/dental/vision, 403(b), PTO, PSLF eligibility.
