SUMMARY:
The Manager of Development Operations & Stewardship is a key member of the Asia Society Development team. This role is responsible for the department's Salesforce donor database, gift processing workflows, donor data integrity, reporting, Finance reconciliation, pipeline tracking, acknowledgments, and stewardship operations.
We are looking for a passionate, systems-minded team member who resonates with Asia Society's mission and brings discipline, initiative, and creativity to the work. This position requires someone who combines exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills and excels at improving processes, maintaining reliable data, and helping the Development team use Salesforce as a strategic fundraising tool.
Working closely with the Development team, this role reports to the Chief Development Officer and partners with Finance and colleagues across the organization to support fundraising operations, reporting, forecasting, and donor stewardship.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee and champion the Development team's Salesforce donor database and related tools.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor and prospect records, gifts, pledges, campaigns, membership records, and stewardship activities through ongoing data governance and quality assurance.
* Create reports, dashboards, forecasts, and other analyses to support frontline fundraisers, Development leadership, Finance, campaign tracking, and executive reporting.
* Manage donor acknowledgments, pledge reminders, receipts, invoices, donor recognition tracking, and related stewardship workflows.
* Produce donor segmentations, mailing lists, and other data outputs for fundraising and stewardship communications.
* Work with the Chief Development Officer to develop fundraising projections and monitor pipeline activity.
* Manage Development pipeline activity, monitoring prospect status, solicitation strategy, revenue projections, and follow-up priorities.
* Coordinate donor stewardship reports across departments, tracking deadlines, departmental input, review status, and final delivery.
* Partner with Finance and Development colleagues to support gift processing, pledge tracking, receivables management, reconciliation, and revenue reporting.
* Continually improve fundraising operations and Salesforce functionality by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen reporting, and enhance the Development team's use of Salesforce.
* Create and maintain policies and procedures for Development systems and workflows.
* Serve as a resource to Development staff by providing guidance on Salesforce best practices, reporting, and fundraising workflows.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
* BA or BS degree.
* Four or more years of related professional experience.
* Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM/database system required; experience supporting nonprofit fundraising operations strongly preferred.
* Strong understanding of donor data management, gift processing, reporting, forecasting, stewardship, and Development Operations.
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to improve business processes and manage complex data.
* Experience maintaining accurate fundraising data and supporting effective Development operations.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and successfully in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate effectively and professionally with executive staff and board members and to build productive relationships with all donors and other organization partners.

* Professional demeanor.
