Context
Vision Development Organization is a national women-led humanitarian and development organization working across multiple sectors including Education, Health and Nutrition, Protection, Livelihoods, WASH, Emergency Response, Gender, Advocacy, and Community Resilience in Afghanistan.
The organization seeks to strengthen its institutional fundraising, partnership engagement, donor coordination, and program development capacities through the recruitment of a qualified and experienced Resource Mobilization and Grants Coordinator / Program Development Specialist.
The position will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, leading proposal development processes, coordinating grants management, strengthening donor relations, and supporting strategic growth and sustainability of the organization.
The Program Development Manager will support the day-to-day planning and implementation of the project outputs, including the organisation of key project events and supporting communication with partners and other key stakeholders. The incumbent will also support substantive research on key thematic issues within the project.
Scope / Key Responsibilities
- Identify funding opportunities; lead proposal design and donor engagement.
- Coordinate technical teams; support partnership building; develop concept notes and strategic initiatives.
- Presenting VDO in donor meetings inside Kabul and provincial level
- Implementing fundraising policy of VDO and resource mobilization for VDO considering strategic vision
Evaluation and Selection Criteria
- Master’s degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of business development experience; proven proposal development track record.
- Strong networking and donor engagement skills; excellent English writing skills.
- Experience working on projects in South Asia considered an advantage;
- Experience in engaging, cultivating and influencing stakeholders is an advantage;
- Experience of working in an international context, e.g. in an intergovernmental organization, considered an advantage;
- Fluency in English required; Knowledge of Dari and Parsian languages would be an advantage.
- Provincial travel required.
Terms of Contract
- International Post.
- Fixed term appointment for12 months (3-month probation); based in Kabul.
- Remuneration – Competitive with NGO standards.
