Context
Vision Development Organization is a national women-led humanitarian and development organization working across multiple sectors including Education, Health and Nutrition, Protection, Livelihoods, WASH, Emergency Response, Gender, Advocacy, and Community Resilience in Afghanistan.
The organization seeks to strengthen its institutional fundraising, partnership engagement, donor coordination, and program development capacities through the recruitment of a qualified and experienced Resource Mobilization and Grants Coordinator / Program Development Specialist.
The position will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, leading proposal development processes, coordinating grants management, strengthening donor relations, and supporting strategic growth and sustainability of the organization.
The Risk Management and Compliance Manager will support the day-to-day planning and implementation of the project outputs, including the organisation of key project events and supporting communication with partners and other key stakeholders. The incumbent will also support substantive research on key thematic issues within the project.
Scope / Key Responsibilities
- Lead organizational risk management framework; oversee compliance systems, internal controls, investigations, safeguarding compliance, anti-fraud measures, donor compliance, and policy implementation.
- Monitor risks and produce compliance reporting.
- Developing organization policies/ amendment, system development
- Aligning VDO for bilateral donors, such as EU, ECHO, FCDO, etc.
Evaluation and Selection Criteria
- Degree in Risk Management, Law, Governance, Audit, Compliance, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of compliance and risk management experience; experience with NGO compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of donor regulations and safeguarding requirements.
- Experience working on projects in South Asia considered an advantage;
- Experience in engaging, cultivating and influencing stakeholders is an advantage;
- Experience of working in an international context, e.g. in an intergovernmental organization, considered an advantage;
- Fluency in English required; Knowledge of Dari and Parsian languages would be an advantage.
- Provincial travel required.
Terms of Contract
- International Post.
- Fixed term appointment for12 months (3-month probation); based in Kabul.
- Remuneration – Competitive with NGO standards.
