Position Overview:
Eurasia Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst for the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, with emphasis on Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. This role focuses on delivering insights and analysis of economic projects and transformational initiatives within the GCC region. The ideal candidate will explore national visions within the investment, regulatory, and business frameworks, with a special emphasis on investment priorities in the GCC. This role requires a candidate who excels in both research and client engagement, possessing a strong ability to convey complex analyses effectively.
Location: The role has a strong preference for candidates based in the Middle East region, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth research and analysis on economic and political developments in the Arab Gulf, with a focus on long-term investment projects and transformations.
* Provide insights on regulatory changes and business framework advancements that influence investment priorities in the GCC region.
* Produce well-structured analytical reports and thought leadership pieces, translating complex information into accessible insights for clients.
* Engage directly with clients, understanding their needs, offering tailored advice, and developing meaningful relationships to support business development efforts.
* Collaborate with the broader Eurasia Group team to ensure the integration of regional insights into global political risk analysis and client solutions.
* Support Business Development activities by identifying opportunities and facilitating client interactions.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* A background in research and analysis with at least 7 years of relevant experience focusing on the MENA region, particularly the GCC countries.
* Strong writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in both written and verbal formats.
* Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Preference for candidates currently located in the region (UAE or Saudi Arabia), given the importance of on-the-ground insight and understanding.
* An advanced degree in political science, economics, international relations, or a related field is preferred.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
* Fluency in English and Arabic is required
