? Provide overall coordination and operational leadership across all programme activities, ensuring workplans, budgets, and deliverables are executed on schedule and to a high standard.
? Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to the programme team, including the Storytelling Lead, Impact and Insights Officer, and Grants Officer, fostering a cohesive and high-performing team culture.
? Conceptualise innovative Pan African events for digital democracy & digital rights
? Oversee the successful delivery of Africa-wide digital campaigns including multiple partners
? Represent the programme at key networking events with decision makers and changemakers
? Oversee full compliance with grant and donor requirements, including the timely preparation and submission of high-quality narrative and financial reports, audit documentation, and semi-annual disbursement reviews.
? Manage, and monitor sub-grant and implementation agreements with all partners, ensuring due diligence standards, sound financial management principles, and contractual obligations are met throughout the programme lifecycle.
? Serve as the principal communication and liaison point between the Lead Organisation's management, implementing partners, and key stakeholders, maintaining strategic alignment, transparency, and accountability across all parties.
? Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and programmatic risks, maintaining an up-to-date risk register and escalating issues to leadership as appropriate.
? Oversee budget monitoring and expenditure tracking in close collaboration with the Grants Officer and Finance team, supporting budget realignment requests and ensuring value for money across all programme activities.
? Advise the Storytelling Lead in coordinating content capture, documentation of impact stories, and production of programme communications materials
? Support the implementation of the programme's monitoring, evaluation, and learning framework, working closely with the Impact and Insights Officer to ensure data collection, documentation, and adaptive learning are embedded across all programme components.
? Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing performance management of specialised project staff, including finalising job descriptions and coordinating selection processes to ensure all roles are filled by suitably qualified candidates.
? Provide regular progress updates, programme reports, and strategic briefings to the Lead Organisation's management and the Programme Steering Committee, supporting informed decision-making at all levels.
