The Associate Manager - Health Communication will lead the development of behavior change communication (BCC) strategies and create clear, behavior-focused content in Bengali and English for caregivers across digital and classroom platforms. The role will engage in field-based learning and user feedback collection to continuously refine communication approaches and strengthen the effectiveness and relevance of content. Working closely with medical, design, and program teams, the role will integrate clinical insights and field learnings into simple, accurate, and user-centered communication materials.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Develop Behavior Change Communication (BCC) strategies and Content: * Design and develop BCC strategies for different channels and platforms under the Care Companion Program. * Lead the drafting of behavior-change-focused content in Bengali and English. * Oversee the content development for IEC/BCC materials for diverse platforms, including classroom settings (handouts, flipcharts) and digital channels (WhatsApp, IVRS, SMS, and Video). * Design campaigns and collateral that simplify complex health information into actionable "nudges" for audiences in public health settings with limited health literacy. * Serve as the final reviewer for language, tone, and clarity, ensuring all content meets the organization's standards for communicative and empathetic language.
* Learning and Documentation: * Travel to the field, interact with the users to conduct user research, analyze data, develop learnings for content design and development. * Produce learning reports and documentations to ensure systematic learning capturing, dissemination and utilization. * Lead feedback collection and adaptation process in the content design and development.
* Coordination and Collaboration: * Facilitate and lead interactions with cross function teams, specially medical teams, to translate clinical nuances into creative health education tools. * Liaise with the Service Design and Creative Design teams to ensure visuals, tone, and other collateral components align with the intended messaging aligning with the user experience. . * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content development for tools and artefacts, product, training, implementation, external communication and advocacy.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Health Communication, Behavior Change Communication (BCC), or Creative Copywriting (public health sector preferred).
* Excellent creative writing skills in English/Bengali for IEC/BCC material development.
* Outstanding communication skills and ability to work seamlessly as part of a diverse team, including designers, medical professionals, analysts, and educators from different countries.
* Close attention to detail while reviewing drafts and finalizing content.
* Able to work collaboratively with team members and on your own when needed.
* Able to manage feedback streams and iterate on communication materials accordingly.
* Prior experience of working on communication campaigns for iNGOs, Multi/bilateral agencies, the Development sector, and media is an added bonus.
* Academic Background in Mass Communication and Journalism/Public Health/Development Studies preferred.
