Job Overview
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) seeks a permanent, part-time China adviser. The role will support the Executive Vice President of Imperatives to build out a China strategy for the organization.
Main Responsibilities
• Supports the WBCSD EVP responsible for the China Regional Program, drawing on strong networks and experience
• Provides advice on potential members for engagement within the China program
• Facilitates regular planning discussions and coordination meetings among WBCSD staff working on China, on behalf of the EVP
• Collaboration and team discussions are primarily virtual
Qualifications, skills and experience
• Strong knowledge of the Chinese business environment, including SOEs and POEs
• Proven experience in international business and sustainability, with a good understanding of WBCSD and its objectives
• Deep understanding of China’s sustainability and policy agenda and its implications for both Chinese and international companies operating in China
• Fluency in Chinese and English
The position is a permanent, part-time role based in Geneva, with minimal travel required to China.
