Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic individual to join us as Manager, Knowledge Management under the Advocacy for Social Change department. The role supports the development and execution of BRAC’s Rohingya mid-term strategy and broader humanitarian priorities from Head Office by generating actionable insights, managing knowledge products, and strengthening advocacy and communication functions through evidence-based inputs and strategic coordination. This is a contractual role that contributes to informed engagement and effective advocacy efforts at national and global levels.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development, refinement, and tracking of the Rohingya mid-term strategy and related humanitarian priorities, while providing analytical inputs to inform strategic positioning, including policy shifts, donor priorities, and geopolitical developments.
  • Contribute to internal strategy discussions, briefs, decision-making processes, and internal consultations on humanitarian priorities and organisational initiatives.
  • Support the design and articulation of BRAC’s advocacy narratives on Rohingya and humanitarian issues, ensuring alignment between strategy, messaging, and external positioning.
  • Develop high-quality communication and knowledge products, including talking points, op-eds, presentations, policy briefs, and strategic summaries for senior leadership engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather and consolidate information and updates for advocacy, strategy, and presentation needs.
  • Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops, and seminars to advance joint solutions for humanitarian challenges and strengthen internal collaboration and partnership engagement.
  • Synthesize insights from research, field inputs, and external stakeholders, including other NGOs, to generate actionable recommendations for advocacy, programming, and strategic decision-making.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation, and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding to establish a safe working environment
  • Practices promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follows the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourages others to do so.
Additional Job Requirements:
  • Facilitate alignment among multiple internal stakeholders across programmes and functions to ensure coherent implementation of strategies and priorities.
  • Support cross-cutting organisational priorities related to humanitarian strategy and advocacy through integrated coordination, evidence synthesis, and strategic input.
Educational Requirements:
Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Social Science or any other relevant discipline.
 
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the development or humanitarian sector, with a focus on strategy, policy, research, or advocacy.
