The Opportunity
The Officer- Case Management is responsible for supervising and supporting the implementation of Responsive and Prevention activities, including ensuring comprehensive case management services, community-based Child Protection, and case management in an SCI area, as part of the Rohingya Response and Host Community Child Protection Program. This includes the management and supervision of Officer - Case Work, MPCAC Facilitators, Community Mobilizers, and Para – Social Workers at their respective locations.
 
S/he will be responsible for running the Child Protection Office, children’s clubs, support in MPCAC operation and life skills & protective behavior sessions, positive parenting sessions and meetings, and for ensuring that child-friendly space activities are delivered through a PSS approach. The person will take care of capacity enhancement, community mobilization, and internal and external coordination under the supervision of the Senior Officer- Child Protection. The position will also work closely with the partner organization and provide CP technical support to the partner staff.
 
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a humanitarian/development role in Child Protection/GBV or General Protection program. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as social science, anthropology, or development studies, or any other relevant department.
  • Knowledge of child rights and child protection issues in Bangladesh. 
  • Strong technical understanding of child protection and community-based approaches.
  • Experience in running recreational and psychosocial activities for children and familiar with community-based approaches to GBV and case management systems.
  • Experience in interviewing, collecting data, and reporting on child protection work.
  • Experience in documenting, preserving quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Experience in providing/ facilitating training, meeting.
