MSF International is looking for an intern for its Communications team (with a specific focus on Knowledge Management) for the next 6 months (with an internship agreement delivered by a school/university).

About the internship:
The Communications Department of the International Office supports the efforts of MSF operational centres and sections by coordinating key strategic and technical platforms and leading on specific transversal communication dossiers that benefit the whole movement.
Within the Communications Department, the International Communications and Knowledge Management Adviser plays a key role in shaping and strengthening the accountability and effectiveness of MSF's international communications community and ecosystem. The position oversees a diverse set of activities related to coordination of MSF's senior communications platforms, knowledge systems, and performance monitoring, ensuring that outputs are aligned and contribute to MSF's objectives.
This internship supports the International Communications and Knowledge Management Adviser in their daily tasks while contributing to strengthening information flow and connectivity across the MSF communication community.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Mapping & support of communities
* Maintain and update several mailing/contact lists and/or assess how to best integrate them into existing or future Teams groups, in collaboration with the Communications & Knowledge Management Adviser
* Contribute to the development, facilitation and support of Communities of Practice within the MSF Communications Network
* Support the mapping of Communities within the Network, to inform decision-making
Overview & analysis of productions
* Support the maintenance and update the communication Index (tool keeping track of all productions) up to date and contribute to the annual analysis of content
* Support the analysis of MSF's communications by preparing, collating and disseminating the results of monthly feedback loops
* Contribute to reflections on MSF's editorial process & tools and their evolution
Communication & knowledge management
* Support the updating of induction materials and presentations for newcomers in the MSF communication Network
* Contribute to the development of tutorials and "how to" materials: Draft FAQ on Teams & Sharepoint use and provide more ad-hoc support across the network, including through webinars
* Support the creation of presentations and newsletters related to Knowledge Management within the MSF Communications Network
* Help prepare and organise webinars about major changes and transitions taking place in the MSF Communications Network and keep the webinar calendar up to date
* Contribute to the design and implementation of surveys & analysis of the results across the network, to inform the annual Communications & Knowledge Management strategy
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
* Studies ongoing in the field of Information & Knowledge Management, Communication, International Relations, Journalism, or any other relevant field
Competencies
* Genuine interest in, and commitment to, the humanitarian principles of MSF
* Rigorous, with a high level of attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time but also a certain level of flexibility when asked to re-arrange deadlines / projects
* Knowledge of PowerBI, Canva and AI tools are an advantage
* Good knowledge of Outlook, the Microsoft Suite, with a specific interest in SharePoint, Teams
* Knowledge, experience and/or interest in internal communications, information & knowledge management
Languages
* Good written and oral communications skills in English, French is an advantage/asset
