About the role
The Peace Dividend Initiative (PDI) is a peace-dividend accelerator working at the intersection of peacebuilding and economic development. We connect entrepreneurs, investors, and local actors to unlock market-driven solutions in conflict-affected regions.
We are looking for a Field Venture Developer to support the development and scaling of ventures in Colombia. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with entrepreneurs in the field, helping build businesses that generate economic opportunities where they are needed most.
This role is part of a small, high-impact team with strong international exposure and direct connection to global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
Venture building & business support
• Support the development and growth of ventures from early-stage to market-ready
• Work closely with entrepreneurs to solve operational, commercial, and strategic challenges
• Contribute to business model design, go-to-market strategies, and revenue generation
• Connect ventures with suppliers, partners, and market opportunities
Financial planning & analysis
• Support budgeting, financial modeling, and cash flow projections
• Track venture performance and contribute to financial reporting
• Assist in preparing materials for fundraising and partnerships
Project & performance management
• Support the planning and tracking of venture activities and milestones
• Monitor KPIs and progress across ventures
• Identify risks and support timely decision-making
Stakeholder engagement & field work
• Build relationships with entrepreneurs and ecosystem actors
• Participate in field visits and relevant events
• Support preparation of materials for partners, donors, and investors

Who we’re looking for
• 3–5 years of experience in venture building, business development, or entrepreneurship
• Strong hands-on experience building or growing businesses
• Experience in Colombia (experience in conflict-affected regions is a strong plus)
• Solid financial and project management skills
• Ability to work independently in complex and dynamic environments

Requirements
• Strong financial skills (budgeting, modeling, cash flow analysis)
• Experience with project management tools and frameworks
• Ability to conduct market analysis and business design
• Fluent Spanish and good working level of English
• Based in Bogotá, with availability to travel
