Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles—independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, and transparency—has defined its identity for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission :
• During this work-study placement, your role will be to assist the Country Director and the coordination team in developing, implementing, and disseminating the France mission's strategy.
• Your main responsibilities will be:
• Context monitoring and political analysis.
• Under the supervision of the Country Director and in conjunction with the field coordinators' assistants, you will conduct legal and political monitoring, in line with the mission's strategic priorities, and disseminate this information within the Mission.
• Upon request, you will produce summary notes and analyses for distribution to the France Mission team.
• Contributing to the deployment of the France Mission's strategy.
• You will contribute to updating strategic documents and disseminating them. As part of the deployment of the Mission's operational and influence strategy, you may participate in the creation of tools, the drafting of project proposals and reports, and take part in priority cross-functional projects.
• Participate in national communication and advocacy activities.
• You will assist the Country Director and the coordination team in defining and implementing communication materials and tools, as well as in establishing joint advocacy initiatives at the national level. In this role, you will participate in external events and meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Support field offices in their advocacy efforts
• . Depending on the needs, you may support field offices in conducting surveys and activities related to advocacy initiatives.
Profile :
• We are looking for a candidate who shares our commitment and possesses the following qualities:
• You are currently enrolled in a Master's program (Master 1 or 2 level), preferably in political science, international relations, humanitarian development, international law, public or European affairs, or advocacy.
• Professional experience in research, within a ministry, local authority, NGO, or with a member of parliament is a significant asset.
• You demonstrate a strong interest in the activities and principles promoted by Mission France.
• You possess strong analytical and summarization skills, excellent written French, strong interpersonal skills combining diplomacy and persuasiveness, and excellent oral communication skills.
• You also demonstrate responsiveness, rigor, flexibility, and unwavering motivation.
Employment conditions
Status: Apprenticeship contract only.
Contract duration: 12 months.
Desired schedule: 3 days / 2 days.
Location: Montreuil
Salary Conditions:
Remuneration based on the legal minimum wage, adjusted according to age and level of education, paid over 13 months.
21 days of RTT (reduced working time) (prorated according to attendance).
25 days of paid leave (prorated according to attendance).
Health and welfare coverage: 80% covered by ACF.
Transportation: 50% of the cost between home and work. Meal
vouchers: 60% covered by the association (value of €8).
€175/year (social activities) and discount on cinema tickets.
Teleworking possible.
Specific conditions:
Prolonged sitting, oral communication, work on screen, telephone contacts, occasional travel within the Ile-de-France region are to be expected.
