Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Senior Manager to lead AVPN’s efforts in Hong Kong. You will strengthen our presence by managing member relationships, driving capital flow toward social impact, and collaborating with key stakeholders. Reporting to the Regional Head, Northeast Asia, you will help advance AVPN’s mission to mobilize resources toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
Responsibilities
Leverage their personal experience of the social investment ecosystem in Asia to:
Market Development and Member Retention:
• Retain and strengthen relationships with current members, managing transitions smoothly.
• Detail market needs, AVPN’s value add, differentiation and proposition in the market.
• Increase AVPN brand awareness in the Hong Kong market by establishing a presence in online/offline engagement and relevant industry events.
Event Operations:
• Collaborate with partners and vendors to manage regional and global event operations in Hong Kong.
• Organize member gatherings, networking events, workshops, and conferences to foster community engagement and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure seamless execution of events, coordinate logistics, and support the design and implementation of AVPN's Corporate Engagement Strategy.
Ecosystem Stakeholder and Engagement and Collaboration:
• Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships in Hong Kong market and act as a resource for other teams in the organization.
• Represent AVPN in the impact sector in Hong Kong including speaking and hosting events as well as contributing to thought leaderships across the full spectrum of social investment, including foundations, family offices, financial services, private equity, corporations, intermediaries, government, and universities.
• Engage with the Greater Bay Area ecosystem and foster collaboration with various stakeholders.
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in social investment, philanthropy, or CSR.
• 5+ years of experience in network building, business development, relationship management, or a related field.
• Experience in the social investment sector with well-established relationships in Hong Kong and Asia is advantageous.
• A team player with experience working within and managing a lean team.
• A firm believer in the power of networks to mobilize more capital for better development outcomes.
• Proven ability to forge and cultivate relationships with members and funders.
• Ability to see the big picture and articulate visions of possibilities to drive our work forward.
• Excellent organizational and management skills.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills with a good command of spoken and written English.
