BACKGROUND
The Somalia Food Systems Resilience Program (FSRP) is part of a regional initiative by the World Bank to tackle the underlying structural challenges of food insecurity. The S-FSRP is funded by IDA and consists of three components covering agriculture and food system resilience, contingency emergency response, and project management.

PURPOSE
To support and advise on using small-scale irrigation technologies and physical Infrastructure in the states, coordinating with implementers, Farmer Groups, and community-based organizations.

SCOPE OF WORK
- Infrastructure Planning and Design: feasibility studies, technical designs, BOQs for small-scale irrigation schemes
- Construction Supervision and Quality Assurance
- Technology Promotion and Capacity Building
- Training workshops on small-scale irrigation and water harvesting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field.
General Experience: Minimum 5 years in design, construction supervision, and management of small-scale irrigation and agricultural infrastructure projects.
Experience with international development organizations (World Bank, UN agencies, or NGOs) on agriculture or infrastructure projects.
Experience in conflict-affected or fragile states, particularly Horn of Africa, is an advantage.

- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills
- High integrity and professionalism
- Fluency in English required
- Willingness to be based in Galmudug State
