Impact Ops is an independent organization providing operational support to high-impact nonprofits, many of which work on AI safety, alignment and governance. Its services include finance, recruitment, entity setup, due diligence, ops audit and systems implementation. It is a remote-first organization with team members and clients across the world. It is looking for a Recruitment Associate (US) to take ownership of core recruitment tasks. The starting salary range is $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience and location.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, document and continuously improve recruitment processes and templates across multiple clients, working closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders
- Conduct candidate sourcing and outreach, identifying talent pools and building and maintaining candidate pipelines
- Conduct early-stage candidate evaluation, including application reviews and screening calls
- Manage candidate communications throughout hiring processes to ensure a professional, timely and positive candidate experience
- Track candidates, roles and hiring progress accurately across applicant tracking systems and internal tools
- Assist with recruitment coordination, including interview scheduling and process logistics
- Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies or failure points in recruiting systems and propose improvements
- Maintain and improve scoring rubrics and assessment frameworks to ensure fair, consistent evaluation
- Support the recruitment team with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or a related role
- Experience supporting end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening and coordination
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with recruitment tools, ATS platforms and documentation systems
Preferred: enthusiasm for recruitment technologies and AI tools; an operations mindset; a growth mindset; experience in nonprofit, social impact or mission-driven recruitment; experience recruiting for technical research roles, particularly in AI/ML; interest in the AI safety landscape.
