Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
The Senior Technical Officer (STO), demand planning HIV and TB provides technical support to the National AIDS, STIs and Hepatitis Control Program (NASHCOP) and the National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP) to ensure availability and efficient management of HIV and TB commodities and related supply chain systems, and supports implementation, monitoring and continuous quality improvement of HIV and TB demand planning activities. The role provides technical guidance and capacity building, demand planning and supply systems strengthening to NASHCOP and NTLP and other stakeholders in Tanzania, and contributes to knowledge products, reports and technical materials on demand planning. Accountabilities include supporting quantification exercises, forecasting and supply planning for HIV and TB commodities, participating in bottom-up quantification exercises and supply chain reviews, strengthening capacity of frontline workers, and contributing to proposal writing and budgets for HIV/TB commodity procurement.
Requirements: Master's degree (or international equivalent) in public health, Pharmacy, Laboratory Science or related field, with a minimum of six years of professional experience in commodity forecasting, quantification, demand planning or supply chain management. Experience with national quantification tools (QAT, Quantimed, Quan TB) and LMIS/eLMIS platforms required. Fluency in English and Kiswahili required. Reports to Senior Technical Advisor, Systems Strengthening & Demand Planning. Travel requirement: 10-25%.
