Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organization providing assistance in more than 70 countries to communities in distress, victims of natural or manmade disasters and victims of armed conflicts.
 
As Strategic Planning and Projects Management Coordinator, you lead the strategic planning and project management office (PMO) function for the Supply Chain department of the Operational Centre Brussels and the joint Supply ecosystem with Ubuntu Operational Directorate. You support the Supply Chain Management Team in ensuring that priorities in countries of operation, departmental ambitions and strategic initiatives across the MSF movement are aligned and operational. You report to the Supply Chain Director and have no direct reports.
 
Main responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning and strategic cycles: lead the Supply Chain contribution to MSF's strategic planning cycles, translate strategic ambitions into Supply Chain roadmaps and monitor implementation of priorities.
  • Project Management Office: lead the Supply Chain PMO, set project/scrum management standards, monitor prioritization, interdependencies, risks and resources, coach staff using agile and waterfall methods, promote change management, and lead budgeting and prioritization at headquarters.
  • Data-driven strategy and decision support: develop portfolio performance and strategy analytics and provide insights to governance and decision-making bodies.
  • Inter-operational centre collaboration: act as focal point for inter-operational directorate initiatives and contribute to collaborative agreements such as the Ubuntu Common Supply Chain Ecosystem.
  • Strategic framework for countries of operation: oversee a multi-year strategic planning framework.
  • Organisational transformation and change adoption: support change management and new ways of working.
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in program/portfolio management, ideally with waterfall and agile methodologies in an international environment
  • Advanced certification in program, portfolio or project management is a strong asset; change management experience and certification are assets
  • Experience in humanitarian settings is a strong asset
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Strategy or a related field is an asset
  • Strong analytical, strategic, communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills; cross-cultural awareness
  • English mandatory; French is a strong asset; Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese are an asset
 
Conditions: open-ended full-time contract, on site in Brussels (homeworking possible per MSF policy), starting asap, salary according to MSF-OCB grid, meal vouchers, hospital insurance, pension plan and public transport reimbursement.
