The Project Assistant supports implementation of activities of the EU-funded initiative Partnerships for Return Preparedness and Reintegration in Ukraine (PREPARE-UA). The project is implemented by ICMPD in close cooperation and coordination with the EU Member States and Schengen Associated Countries. It aims to establish a coordinated operational model that connects information and counselling services in participating Member States and Schengen Associated Countries with employment opportunities, municipal support systems and reintegration services in Ukraine. The initiative is based on the principles of voluntariness, informed choice and dignity. It recognises that return preparedness must begin well before any eventual transition out of temporary protection.
The Project Assistant works under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager, in close coordination with other team members and the project Secretariat. The Secretariat is located in the Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Vienna, Austria.
Requirements: understanding of the current displacement context, recovery, reconstruction and reintegration of displaced people. Proficiency in English and Ukrainian (verbal and written) is required. The position is based in Lviv, Ukraine. Travel to other regions of Ukraine may be required, depending on the security situation.
