Trócaire is an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) working with local partners in the world's most at-risk communities, and with people in Ireland, to tackle the underlying causes of poverty and injustice and respond to the crises they create. Trócaire works in up to 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
The Opportunity: This is an opportunity to lead and improve Trócaire's governance and policy-management arrangements. Working across the organisation, you will take practical ownership of key processes and help ensure they are clear, proportionate and effective. You will report to the Head of Standards and Compliance. The role is offered on a contract of indefinite duration and is based in Trócaire's Maynooth office, with hybrid working.
Role Requirements: The role requires significant relevant experience in corporate governance, company secretarial support, Board or Committee administration, policy management, or a comparable accountability-focused environment. You will need experience coordinating governance processes, records, actions and recurring deadlines, together with strong drafting, organisation, judgement and stakeholder-management skills. A Chartered Governance Institute qualification, part-qualification or comparable professional development is required, along with a relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience. Experience in a charity, NGO, public-interest or regulated organisation is desirable.
