The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of plastic waste and the financial mechanisms used to scale circular plastics solutions. We are looking for a self-driven, systems-oriented thinker skilled at analyzing complex, interconnected datasets to unearth new insights. This is a full-time contractor role reporting to the Director of Programs and Research, offering the opportunity to collaborate with global colleagues and partners.

? Develop and apply analytical frameworks to structure, and process complex data. Analyze variables across multiple datasets to identify and interpret trends, patterns, and relationships.
? Track developments in plastics circularity across finance, policy, and innovation, synthesizing findings into regular internal briefings and external thought leadership.
? Conduct research on financial mechanisms, market conditions, and regulatory frameworks required to advance circular economy investments and solutions.
? Formulate clear, data-driven recommendations and translate key insights into reports, presentations, and visual infographics.
? Support project delivery by facilitating high-level workshops, conducting expert interviews, and collaborating directly with local partner organizations.
? Present research findings at meetings, workshops, events and conferences
**Key Competencies**
? 2-4 years of experience in sustainable finance, economics, and data analysis. While a background in sustainable finance or investment is strongly preferred, candidates with deep expertise in data analysis may be considered.
? Deep, nuanced understanding of the plastic value chain, waste management systems, and the policy/financial mechanisms used to address plastic pollution.
? Familiarity with development finance institutions (DFI) or multilateral development institution taxonomies is an advantage.
? Proven ability to deliver complex analysis and research, including managing budgets, coordinating with local partners, analyzing complex qualitative and quantitative data, and generating clear and engaging written deliverables.
? Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills. Must be comfortable convening diverse actors in consensus-building environments.
**Education**
? A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as Finance, Industrial Ecology, Environmental Economics, Environmental Science, or related fields
**Location**
? Remote position for candidates preferably in any of the following locations: India, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka or The Philippines.
