Global Human Resources Partner (Full time – Remote)
The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a Global Human Resources Partner. This is a diverse role and the ideal candidate will be service oriented in the delivery of several critical human resources functions. This position will work with our remote staff and contractors aligning IEEFA culture to initiatives which strengthen an inclusive and engaged global team. In partnership with the HR Director, this role will provide strategic thought in shaping organizational success. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates based in Kenya. Candidates in other African time zones will also be considered with flexible hours for global collaboration.
The HR Partner reports to the HR Director and has high-level of ownership in the administration of a broad range of HR duties including recruitment, training, compliance, employee/labor relations, and the communication of organizational policies and procedures. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and advisor for other positions at IEEFA.
IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/nonprofit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 70+ analysts and communications personnel located in 15 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Roles and Responsibilities
* Serve as the first point of contact for HR matters related to the Employer of Record (EOR). Serve as the subject matter expert and liaison between IEEFA and the EOR.
* Serve as a trusted advisor for HR matters- personnel inquiries, policy/procedure interpretations, concerns, and conflict resolution- referring complex or sensitive matters to the HR Director.
* Partner with the HR Director in the development and delivery of IEEFA's HR strategy and initiatives.
* Assist in the analysis of workforce trends and metrics which support decision making and continuous improvement.
* Lead complex recruitments. Provide comprehensive recruitment strategies to ensure high quality and professional experiences for the candidate and hiring manager.
* Prepare formal HR correspondence including employment contracts.
* Facilitate orientation and develop other HR training programs for delivery.
* Maintain accurate employee related records in IEEFA's database(s).
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
* Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible HR experience; with at least 2 years supporting leaders and personnel
* Experience supporting a distributed workforce
* Commitment to IEEFA's mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable, and profitable economy
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience working for an NGO/non-profit organization
* Experience leveraging AI tools for HR analytics
* HRCI or SHRM Certified Professional or equivalent
Compensation and Benefits
USD $78,924 - 95,244 or local equivalent based on currency and cost of living adjustment. Benefits and holidays are determined based on the country of residence. All employees receive a one-time home office set-up allowance, monthly cell phone and internet stipend, optional co-working rental support and minimum of 20 days vacation and 10 days of sick leave.
