Plan International Pilipinas is a girl-centered community-focused non-government organization, serving the Philippines for the last 64 years.

We are a newly locally registered Foundation, connected to 80+ Plan International offices worldwide.

We work with around 7,000 partner communities or barangays across the country, delivering programs on (PIER) Protection from Violence, Inclusive Health, Education to Economic Empowerment, and Resilience and Humanitarian.

We have 30,000 sponsored children and 2.5 million program participants, co-creating lasting impact especially for girls.

About the Role

The Campaigns and Advocacy Specialist plans and delivers campaigns that promote children’s and girls’ rights, with a strong focus on youth participation. The role works closely with young people, program teams, and partner organizations to run national and local campaigns such as Stand with Girls and International Day of the Girl.

The role also supports advocacy efforts on issues like gender equality, children’s rights, and climate action by working with government agencies, UN partners, and civil society groups. The role helps create clear and engaging campaign messages and materials to reach the public, decision-makers, and supporters through digital platforms, events, and partnerships.

The position reports to the Head of Communications, Advocacy, and Campaigns and works closely with the communications, advocacy, marketing, and fundraising teams to support unit plans and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery, and review of campaigns such as Stand with Girls and International Day of the Girl.
• Support program areas and project teams in developing and carrying out their campaign activities.
• Help continue and strengthen The Youth Reporter Project, including training youth groups on mobile and basic journalism skills.
• Plan and support marketing campaigns and fundraising events that increase public support, visibility, and resources.
• Track and document the results of campaigns and events, working closely with marketing and fundraising teams.
• Represent Plan International in local and global campaign and advocacy networks.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure campaign messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in campaigns, advocacy, communications, or marketing, preferably within development, NGO, or civil society settings.
• Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, the private sector, or community organizations.
• Strong writing and content development skills for print, digital, and campaign materials.
• Ability to turn complex development issues into simple and engaging messages.

Skills and Competencies

• Digital Skills: Comfortable using digital tools, multimedia platforms, and the internet for campaigns and communications. Able to use technology in practical and cost effective ways.
• Communication Skills: Can write and speak clearly for different audiences; listens well and encourages open discussion and teamwork.
• Teamwork and Partnerships: Builds positive working relationships with colleagues, youth groups, partners, and external stakeholders.
• Advocacy Skills: Understands how to engage and influence decision makers and partners to improve policies, laws, and resources for children and girls.
• Negotiation Skills: Able to assess stakeholders, find common ground, and support solutions that are acceptable to different groups.

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila (with frequent travel to program areas)

Type of Role: Fixed-term (until June 2027)
