The position

Background
The Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) is an Egyptian non-profit organization established in 1991 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. OHF is the implementation agency for the Aga Khan Foundation Egypt and is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network and was founded by Om Habibeh Sultan Mohammed Shah Aga Khan to contribute to and support local communities in the governorate of Aswan in areas including healthcare, education, and providing income for deprived communities through long-term development activities. OHF works in the following areas: Continuing Education, Civil Society, Agriculture and Food Security, Climate Resilience, Economic Inclusion, Women Empowerment and Early Childhood Development.

In 2022, the Drosos Foundation approved the funding of the "She Farms" project. The project is managed and implemented by the Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) in Aswan under the Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Resilience Programme. The project will be implemented in Daraw, Edfu, West Aswan, and Kom-Ombo communities. The project aims to improve the economic livelihoods and nutrition in all of the above-mentioned areas, by increasing women’s participation in agriculture production and value chains and promoting the use of innovative farming techniques.

Position Objectives
We are seeking a motivated Entrepreneurship & Market Access Officer to support the visibility and sustainability of development interventions, particularly under the She Farm project. The role focuses on conducting market assessments, identifying opportunities for women-led products, and developing practical marketing approaches that enhance market access and income generation.

The position will also lead the entrepreneurship component by supporting beneficiaries in basic business planning, product positioning, and market linkage, ensuring that project activities translate into viable and sustainable economic opportunities.

Core Responsibilities
• Conduct market assessments to identify consumer trends, value chain gaps, and new market opportunities for women-led products. Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance product visibility, branding, and market linkage.
• Strengthen communication and visibility through social media and promotional campaigns aligned with project objectives.
• Lead the entrepreneurship component, including promoting agripreneurship opportunities and facilitating entrepreneurship competitions.
• Identify beneficiaries’ training needs in entrepreneurship and agribusiness and coordinate
• relevant capacity-building activities.
• Support beneficiaries in basic business planning, costing, pricing, and product positioning
• Manage outlets or undertake direct marketing.
• Plan and put in place initiatives for advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling, and sales management.
• Monitor market performance of supported products and document lessons learned and success stories.
• Prepare periodic reports on marketing and entrepreneurship activities and contribute to overall project reporting.
• Provide support for the project team when needed
The requirements

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field.
• Master is an asset.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
• 3–5 years of experience in agricultural marketing, agribusiness, or entrepreneurship development.
• Good understanding of rural markets and agricultural value chains.
• Experience in supporting small producers or women-led enterprises is an asset.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of English and Arabic Languages.
• Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding principles.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
25% of the time will be in the office while 75% in the field.
