Field of activity
The Medical Service provides medical care, preventive health care and health promotion for all GIZ staff within the framework of the legally prescribed framework and the special operational concerns in Germany and abroad. Together with psychosocial counselling and occupational health management, it is embedded in the Health Services Division.
Your tasks
• Implementation of occupational health care for employees working abroad both in person and virtually
• Carrying out the preventive care screen
• Implementation of the (virtual) consultation hours and emergency care at the Eschborn site
• Participation in the 24/7/365 emergency call service for medical questions from foreign employees and their families
• Support and cooperation in occupational health care at all GIZ sites in Germany and worldwide
• Participation in measures within the framework of occupational health training
• Collaboration in occupational health management
Your profile
• Completed university degree in human medicine
• High social and strong communication skills
• Completed specialist training, e.g. in general medicine or internal medicine is desirable
• Completed courses in theoretical occupational medicine, previous occupational health experience is desirable
• Experience in the field of tropical medicine or experience abroad is desirable
• Fluent in German and fluent in English

This position is suitable for full-time or part-time staff.
The training period refers to a full-time position and is extended in the case of part-time work according to the level of employment.
