Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local nongovernmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. This also includes stateof-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele.

OVERVIEW:
Team Leader is primarily responsible to lead the TB team in provision of TB services including health education, screening, treatment and follow-up according to NTP guideline as well as necessary recording and reporting. He/ She is also liaising with NTP, township health department staff, local administrative officers, SQH providers and SCH team for planning, implementation, management and supervision of TB control activities.
The position is target-driven and ultimately responsible to reduce TB morbidity and mortality in high burden areas.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The duties and responsibilities of the Team Leader include:
• Ensure to operate TB team activities in accordance with approved work plan and to achieve the target numbers for screening and treatment services.
• Provide TB screening, treatment and adherence according to NTP guidelines and in line with project objectives.
• Supervise all necessary items are fully stocked, functioning, regularly serviced and kept at the secured places.
• Promptly notify to the supervisor if there is damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
• Supervise X-ray technicians to get good quality X-rays.
• Supervise Counsellors for effective counselling sessions regarding TB.
• Take financial accountability and responsibility for team activities according to organization rules and regulation.
• Record, report and submit the complete and correct data and reports to respective unit/organization by using standardized format.
• Participate as a SCH representative in the Coordination/review meetings organized by NTP.
• Collaborate with partner organizations as necessary;
• Perform any other additional duties as required.
Term of Agreement:
The Contractor will receive the basic daily service payment upon submission of a complete Daily Work Report to the respective Supervisor and payment will be made within 30 days after SCH receives and accepts the report. In addition, the Contractor may be eligible for a performance-based payment, which will be determined based on the verification of achievements against the Monthly or Quarterly Performance Indicator Report and the appraisal and approval of the respective Supervisor.
Key Skills: The key skills required for the position of Team Leader include:
Technical Knowledge:
He/ She must have understanding on TB screening and treatment service provision.
Operational management:
He/ She must be able to manage their time effectively and solve the problems to achieve measurable, high-impact results in TB control.
Communication :
He/ She must be able to understand basic communication skills and effectively communicate with NTP (Regional and Township focal person), Township Health Department, Focal person of Hospitals, SQH provider, SCH regional team
Leadership:
He/ She must have enough leadership skills and demonstrate a strong ability to guide others
Organizational Skills:
He/ She must be organized and be able to undertake any other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
• Must hold M.B.,B.S degree and valid medical license
• Preferably relevant work experiences for 2 years
• Prior experience in CXR reading is preferred.
• Must be based in Yangon
• Competent in computer skill (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power-point, etc.)
• Must have good communication skill and advocacy skill
• Should be organized, systematic, dynamic and must interact well with others
