The Integrated Tribal Development Foundation (ITDF) is a Christian non-profit organization based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with more than 34 years of experience serving marginalized hill tribe communities in Northern Thailand. ITDF works across water and sanitation (WASH), education, livelihoods and food security, health and mental health, environmental conservation, and community empowerment.

Role Overview
ITDF is seeking a committed and experienced Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter following a planned leadership transition. The Executive Director will provide strategic, operational, and spiritual leadership, ensuring that ITDF remains impactful, financially sustainable, and faithful to its mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall vision, strategy, and leadership for ITDF.
- Oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of multi-sector development programs.
- Lead and mentor senior staff and field teams with a servant-leadership approach.
- Manage relationships with donors, foundations, NGOs, churches, corporate partners, and government agencies.
- Ensure sound financial management, budgeting, audits, and donor compliance.
- Represent ITDF professionally to partners, communities, and the public.
- Uphold and model ITDF’s Christian values and organizational culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in international development, nonprofit management, rural development, public health, engineering, education, social sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, NGO, or international development contexts.
- Proven experience managing donor-funded projects and organizational budgets.
- Strong proposal writing, reporting, and donor communication skills.
- Commitment to Christian faith and servant leadership.

- Ability to work effectively in rural, multicultural, and resource-limited settings.
- Financial literacy and comfort with budgets and reports.

Technical & Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (Google Workspace, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Basic understanding of monitoring & evaluation systems and data tracking.
- General IT literacy sufficient to support office operations and school IT initiatives.
Language Requirements
- Fluent spoken and written Thai (required).
- Strong spoken and written English (required).
- Knowledge of hill tribe languages (Karen, Lahu, Lisu, Akha, etc.) is an advantage.
Location & Travel
The Executive Director will be based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with regular travel to hill tribe project areas in Northern Thailand.
