The Senior Technical Advisor is responsible for leading and managing PeerLINC's programmatic and clinical programs.

 

This role will involve:

 

Development and delivery of training programs, experience sharing sessions, and tools, to facilitate the knowledge exchange primarily with high TB burden countries on the Programmatic and Clinical aspects of implementing new TB treatments (starting with BPaLM/BPaL). 

 

Serve as a contact point for continuous communication with countries and facilitate peer-to-peer exchange of the best practices, implementation progress, and additional requests for technical assistance that PeerLINC can provide.?

 

 The Role:

 

Create and lead the pool of international consultants serving as subject matter experts in specific areas (such as clinical, laboratory, supply chain, etc.). Plan and coordinate involvement of experts in specific PeerLINC activities as training, module development, guidelines revision, and others

 

The Senior Technical Advisor will also facilitate the smooth operations of the Global Technical Expert Group (G-TEC).

 

Serve as a subject matter expert, providing inputs for other members or the PeerLINC team working together with the Communications Lead and Project Manager

 

Serve as subject matter expert in communications with global and country TB stakeholders when required

 

Represent PeerLINC during international, regional, and national conferences and scientific events.

 

You have:

 

A degree in Medicine (MD) or Public Health

 

At least 10 years of experience of working in NGOs or government body, supporting development activities in the field of infectious disease, preferably tuberculosis

 

Strong experience in the provision of technical assistance to National TB Programs

 

Experience of developing and delivering training courses

 

Ability to influence those outside of the immediate sphere of control

 

Strong communication and public speaking skills

 

Fluency in English required, additional UN languages will be a benefit

 

Proven experience of collaboration with LMICs countries in the field of healthcare will be considered a benefit, as well as readiness to work across different cultures and time zones

 

Given the role background, candidates from high-burden TB countries (India, Indonesia, the Philippines, etc.) have an advantage.
