ASYLUM AUDITOR , FRENCH OFFICE OF IMMIGRATION AND INTEGRATION

Montereau-Fault-Yonne, France

I worked for over a year as an administrative employee for the largest and most important French asylum seekers processing office. In that highly dynamic and high-pressure environment, I learned to work effectively and efficiently, multitasking with minimum supervision, handling people from all over the world. This required enhanced problem-solving, tact, diplomatic savviness and remaining calm.

Education:

Academically, having completed a master’s degree in legal systems and Human rights, as well as a minor thesis on women with disibalities and intersectional discriminations have developed and increased my overall knowledge and expertise on international human rights law and disability law. My interest and desire to advocate for disability and Human rights was further recognized by the University of Galway (Ireland) as I was selected as a Summer School Scholarship Awardee of rights of disabled children and young people. Meeting with various cultures and ethnicities from around the world, addressing disability rights issues with UN, European, and national professionals and scholars have enhanced and expanded my knowledge and skills in advocacy and communication in these areas. Since this experience abroad, I have joined a monthly Journal club to discuss different disability law challenges such as independent living which is an issue which needs to be specifically tackles in France.
Furthermore, my dedication to Human rights issues and advocacy led me to initiate and I took the initiative to co-write a review of the 2021 European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights report. By co-writing this review, I was able to showcase my analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
