Professional Experience:
Brighson Simtowe is a distinguished governance policy expert with over a decade of experience in the public sector, specializing in digital governance, access to justice, rule of law and human rights. He has a track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects including 48 Million Euros Justice and Accountability programme, a $150 million World Bank grant for Digital Malawi Project and a $10 million UNDP-funded digital transformation initiative.
In his role as Programme Coordinator for Chilungamo (Justice & Accountability) Programme at Ministry of Justice and as Under Secretary at the Department of E-Government, Brighson has demonstrated strong leadership in programme and policy development, implementation, procurement management, and strategic management and problem-solving.
Brighson holds an MSc in Public Policy from the University of Bristol and a BA in Public Administration from the University of Malawi. A recipient of the UK Chevening Scholarship, he is known for his results-oriented approach, strategic thinking, and commitment to promoting good governance and sustainable development.
