Education:
I hold a Bachelor of International Relations from Zetech University, where I developed a robust understanding of global politics and diplomacy through various relevant units. My coursework included International Relations Theory, which laid the foundation for understanding global political dynamics and diplomatic interactions. I studied International Organizations, gaining insights into the roles and functions of key global institutions like the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, essential for understanding international policy-making. The Diplomacy and Negotiation unit provided me with critical skills in negotiation techniques, conflict resolution, and diplomatic protocols, which are pivotal for roles in international diplomacy and administrative positions involving stakeholder management. Additionally, Global Security examined issues related to terrorism, immigration, and international stability, enhancing my comprehension of global security challenges. Development Studies focused on strategies for economic and social development, including humanitarian responses, equipping me with knowledge applicable to development-oriented roles.
During my academic tenure, I conducted a research project titled "Immigration and Terrorism in Kenya," which involved comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting, further refining my research skills and understanding of security issues.
In addition to my academic background, I completed an industrial attachment and volunteered with the Kenya Red Cross. My experience included representing and assisting with front office tasks, data entry, and disaster management support. I played a key role in facilitating the Red Cross first aid competitions across various levels, including primary, secondary, university, and corporate, which honed my organizational and event management skills. I actively engaged in humanitarian initiatives such as the Lisha Mtoto program, which aimed to provide food assistance, and participated in disaster management and cholera sensitization efforts. My data collection experience at Njenga Level 4 Hospital enhanced my reporting and analytical abilities. I also supported blood drive activities by registering donors and educating them on donation protocols. Completing first aid training and becoming a certified first aider allowed me to apply these skills in emergency situations, providing first aid and assistance at the branch office. Additionally, my involvement in the NCDS program at Eastleigh Maternity Hospital, where I educated support groups on healthy diets and demonstrated home-based exercises, underscored my commitment to health education and community outreach.
