Professional Experience:

I have over 21 years experience in agriculture, irrigation engineering, project management, research and development. Over the years I have worked in different capacities as a Senior Irrigation Engineer with the Department of Irrigation until 2017 when i moved to the Smallholder Irrigation and Value Addition Project, a $48m AfDB funded project where i worked until August 2018. In September 2018, i moved to the EURO111m EU funded Promoting Farming in Malawi Project as a Program Coordinator/Imprest Administrator where i worked until April 2021 when i moved to the National Authorizing Officer Support Unit in Ministry of Finance as the Program Manager for the Sustainable Agriculture Unit, a position i held until March 2023 when i was appointed as the Director of Irrigation Operations at the Greenbelt Authority, a position I am holding to date
